According to 'The Sun' Catalan club plans to make an offer of around 10 million euros for Yohan Cabaye, 26-year-old midfielder Newcastle United and France.
Cabaye began his playing career at the club Lille OSC. In 2001-2004, he performed in the club's youth team, then was promoted to the senior first team, led then by coach Claude Puel. November 7, 2004 he made his debut in Ligue 1 in the 2-0 away win over FC Istres. By the end of the season he played just five matches and his club end the season on the second place in league. In season 2007/2008 Yohan was the second leading scorer (7 goals) after Michel Bastos.
At the end of season 2010/2011 Cabaye went to Newcastle United, signing a five-year contract.
The English club paid for him more than 5 milion euro, but since then Cabaye has become an important player of Newcastle and the French national team, making sure his precious rose. The English press, however, believes that the amount of close to 15 million, should convince the masters of Newcastle.
Everything also depends on the outcome of talks with Barcelona Athletic Bilbao on Javi Martinez. Catalans would really want to download to their representative in Spain.
